Tripod Turnstile And Some Benefits Of It

One of the major rising concerns of today's world is, of course, the security. Intruders are threatening the security and safety of many people and their property and even hackers are accessing the important information, these are very common these days. Various companies and institutions are searching for a far better option for security. To improve the level of physical security of the facilities and the buildings, one of the best choices is tripod turnstile; it is a high-tech option to control the visitor's and the employee's access. It is a reliable choice even better than the security guards. These may come with 100% security and guarantee.

Advantages of Tripod Turnstiles
Tripod turnstile has huge benefits, so people are switching the option t installing the tripod turnstile.

Provide improved level of security
For deterring and detecting the unauthorized and unwanted entries, turnstiles provide superior and complete access control. At the time of entering in a facility or office the foremost point of entrance in obviously through the door. Most common and known solution to provide the security is, of course, adding the card, electric locks or biometric reader to the gate. A lock or a reader always need a valid and appropriate credential for unlocking it but it doesn't have the power to control that how many wanted people are entering entrance and how long the door needs to remain open. Unauthorized people can enter by the gate following authorized personnel by the safe and secure gate; the result of it is, of course, a "Tailgating" or security issue. Even a door never isolates the authorized passage direction. For instance, while the door trigger for the entry, it never controls the exiting at a time, when it is open.

But the tripod turnstile can control that how many people are entering and exiting on every presented credential. It also has the control over the passage direction. To enter through the turnstile, a person should have the valid credentials. This credential signals the boom barriers for system unlocking and allows just one person at a time to enter and relocking immediately. Many turnstiles also come with the features of notifying and recognize many instances like tailgating, forced passage, and loitering. If there any kind of unauthorized entry it will trigger the alarm and send the message to the user to control that.

Integration Access control
It can be integrated with the system of building access control easily. If there the other access control system in the building like CCTV cameras, bells, and other equipment, these may allow turnstiles to function in the conjunction with the doors, It can provide then the time, location and of course the identity of the persons . This system provides the live data, which are used by the authority to track the unwanted visitors, identify the security threats and pinpoint the alarm.

Flexibility of Operation

Tripod turnstiles Gates enhance the flair of operation by the entry process streamlining. A wide array of ID proofs is accommodated with turnstiles including the various types of authorized media for entry, barcode, proximity cards, magnetic readers and much more. So there is a huge flexibility of operation.

Automatic Security Systems - The way forward in security and monitoring systems

With newer and increasingly grave security threats being discovered every day, it has become very important for us to find out new ways of improving security systems for organisations and residences. Security, as a subject is ever evolving and changing. Being up to date with the latest in technology is of utmost importance in this field. And as we realise that with every new innovation comes a more innovative way to get past it, it becomes all the more important for facilities that are highly sensitive in nature to resort to more automation in security systems. Nowadays, it is very common to come across a boom barrier gate at almost every entry and exit point - be it a highway tool booth, a parking lot, commercial facility, residential housing society or even a school.

Some of the advantages that are offered by automatic security systems are as follows:
·         Elimination of the possibilities and chances  of human error - quite often, it has been noticed that human security guards alone prove ineffective in active monitoring and surveillance; entry and exit screening etc. This has resulted in various technologies like RFID technology which allows entry to only those vehicles which are tagged with the RFID band and thus can be easily monitored.

·        Boom barriers and tripod turnstiles provide more reliable security preventing vehicles/ people from passing through without proper tag identification and/ or payment. They eliminate the changes of guards being persuaded of flouting rules or being caught unawares at the job.

How do the technologies function?
Now let us try and understand the mechanism and the technology of working of these machines:
Turnstile: This is also commonly known as a baffle gate or a turnstyle in various usages, and performs the basic function of allowing only one person entry/ exit at a time. It can be customised to allow only one way entry or exit of people, as can be readily observed at any metro or underground station, where the turnstiles are rigged to move only in one direction.
To activate the turnstile mechanism, one has to either insert a coin(in case of paid systems, it is also sometimes called the fare- gate) or a token, a card or some other form of payment or identification. This is extensively used, in, as mentioned earlier, metro and trains stations, office premises and pay toilets. A tripod turnstile is the most common entry access system in this world, with three prongs which rotate in one or both directions.

Boom Barriers: A boom barrier may also be called the boom gate in several usages. It is essentially a cylindrical bar or a rod that rotates downwards and upwards via pivoting at a fulcrum, thus restricting access of vehicles in and out of a particular area.

Boom weights are basically counterweights that allow the barrier to be raised with ease and thus not be using a motor for every operation. The boom barrier is lowered by a relay or a small motor.
